الفَتْحَة — The Fatha
The fatha (َ) is a short vowel placed above a letter, producing a short "a" sound — like "ba", "ta", "ja". It is the most common vowel in the Qur'an. Every letter here is followed by a fatha so you can hear and practise the letter combined with its vowel.
